Ok you jerks: thanks to all the spam comments, now just registered users can comment on the blog.
This shouldn’t impact any of the people who generally read the blog. I hope it does keep you internet parasites off the blog.

Blogger may even offer another level of protection. Over at LutheranChick’s site I had to type in letters to post–a typical bot-confuser. I’m not sure how she did it though…
I found the way to do that as well, but will refrain for now, as it is a pain in the butt. If I get another one where 16 comments sent in the span of 5 minutes are crapola, I will switch to the word-recognition option.
I’m going to have to do the same, limit to registered users. i’m not doing the letters thing, though. that’s annoying.
