1. Alabama Woman by The Tennessee Rounders
True Honky Tonk, not that weak pop crap that gets played on country radio. Actually, I’ve been playing their second disc over and over again. There is not a bad song on it, but this one has been stuck in my head. The plot is simple: beautiful Southern girls, cold beer and Honky Tonk music.

2. Vegas Bound by The Truckstop Preachers
How do you describe these guys? Uh, cowpunk I guess. Rowdy and fun. Add cold beer. Repeat.

3. Baby Let the Bad Times Be by Junior Brown
A song about moving beyond rough spots in a relationship.

4. Mama Tried by Merle Haggard
He’s Merle Haggard. No explanation needed.
