Who Gives This Woman????

There is a young couple that is getting married this weekend. Though I am on leave from parish work for a month, I agreed to witness their vows and pronounce a blessing on the marriage. I am happy to do it.
I am using the new liturgical materials from the renewing worship process. The wedding [...]

Derek was Right

After looking at the books I received for Christmas, I was reminded of something Derek said about this time last year: I have denominational identity issues.

Happy Birthday, Son!

Today is A’s birthday. I promised to take him to a show this year, so on March 12, we are going to see:

Selfishly, it is as much for me as it is for him. Should be a blast!

She’s Here

2. In seminary, I entered conversation and discernment with an Old Catholic bishop about ordination in their jursidiction rather than in the [...]

Of Interest to Church Geeks

I found a link to the Convent of St. Elizabeth, located in Etna, CA. The sisters support their vocation with an array of religious goods, including icons, prayer ropes and vestment (Eastern and Western Rite). Mrs. LP and I try and buy as much of our religious goods from monastics, so we are excited to [...]
