100 Acts: Act 30
Wayne “The Train” Hancock. He masterfully blends honky tonk and rockabilly (are you detecting a theme yet) for a great sound. A couple of things about Wayne Hancock that I like:
1. He records his music live in studio with a full band, so there is none of this overproduced overdubbing garbage. It sounds consistently great.
2. No need for a drummer. When you’ve got somebody who really knows how to slap that bass, then drummers are a vestigial musical organ.
