Random Things
Tagged by the punkmonk.
Here are the rules…
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
1. I now weigh almost 70 more pounds than I did at ordination. Is all that flub ordained as well, or do I need to return to the bishop for a second go?
2. I have this strange fixation on Elvis. I even have a small “altar” to him at home with photos and candles. I also yelled at a documentary the other day that said all he did was steal black music. That is a rant for another time.
3. I love Mexican food at all levels of quality, and have been known to have it four or five times a week.
4. I really wanted to be a teacher for most of my life. I married one instead. Close enough.
5. I visited a place this week because I knew that some retired nuns claimed to see the Blessed Virgin there. These claims have never been substantiated or even acknowledged by the higher-ups.
6. I am really an Anglican at heart, and I have worried more over the distress among the Anglican Communion here lately than I have for my own communion.
7. I have eaten rat meat. So have a lot of people in South Louisiana. Not sewer rats, mind you, but big nutrias. Technically, I don’t know if they are rats (rodentia), but close enough.
8. I’ve been finding it hard to pray lately. Actually, it seems more like I have had an aversion to it. Dark nights come and go. I may actually flesh this out a bit in another post.
I tag any 8 people who feel like doing this. Mother M - since you still don’t have a blog, maybe you can post answers in the comments box.

mexican food is one of the few cuisines I love at all levels of quality. mmmm.
rat meat? wow.
Nutria, like alligator, is one of the Louisiana “delicacies” I have yet to try. I have seen them, though. Nasty little buggers. And I do belive they are in the rodent family, though I could be wrong about that/
Nutria, also called Coypu, is a rodent native to South America. They hunt them down there. I’ve never eaten any but I’m proud for you just the same
