1. Nicole – 2^nd Grade. I drew a heart around her picture in my yearbook that year.

2. Mimi – 5^th and 6^th grade. She thought I was a toad, and when she found out that I had a crush on her, she was really really mean to me.

3. Amy – 8^th grade. I was scared to talk to her until one night at the county fair, when we hung out together the whole night. The next day at school she acted like nothing happened.

4. Jenny – College. She was this Jewish mystic/singer/songwriter, and she and I would hang out in the middle of campus eating Hare Krishna lunches and drinking cheap wine I had stashed in my book bag. This was a MAJOR crush that I didn’t get over until after graduation.
