Ah, Crap!

So what’s worse than having your alma mater lose two games in a row? Having them lose the second one after leading THE WHOLE FREAKING GAME! And what is worse than that? When the game is lost to the team your entire family loves, so that you are a lone wolf receiving taunting phone calls from cousins you only talk to when LSU can actually muster a win against Florida.

So here is the run down. Two straight conference losses, not a snowball’s chance in hell of a national title, the conference title a longshot, and now trailing the division to a team we put 59 up on a couple of weeks ago. Damned SEC!!! (I’m kidding, I love you SEC! You are the best conference ever, and I would rather be a loser in the SEC than a champion in the Pac-10).

    It was a heck of a game, though. I didn’t intend to watch, but I got pulled in early on.

    I think they may be corrupting me. Next thing you know, I’ll be giving in and buying something purple and gold (a fate I have resisted for the past five years - I wear my alma mater’s colors on “support our team” kind of days at work. No one has ever heard of Gannon, no one cares about Division II sports, so no one is offended).

    Last three games the NU defense has surrendered over 120 points and close to 2,000 yards.

    Thank goodness we’re not in the SEC - we’d be 0-14 faster than you can say “Bring back Osborne!” :-P

    BTW, the end times are near…we are slightly ahead of Baylor in the B12 South conference rankings….if that is not a sign of the end times, I don’t know what is.
