Allow me to Clarify…
…my remarks from the other day when I ranted about Reality TV.
1. I had it on because I had plopped on the sofa to eat a sandwich and was channel surfing. As a general rule, I don’t watch this stuff, which is part of the reason I was commenting on a show that aired like 4 years ago.
2. I think Dr. YO has a great idea. We should have a show called Trading Pastors, where we could see such hijinks as Andy Stanley attempting to lead the liturgy at an Episcopal Cathedral while John Spong leads a Praise service at a large community church.
3. We can put this to a vote, but I am pretty sure that the term Yankee does not apply to Christopher since he is from Oregon.
4. Art, I have not seen Rock of Love, though my 13 year old son gets very happy when he sees the commercials for it. I can’t quite figure out why…
5. Guitar Hero: well, there is nothing wrong with it really, I just wish people would buy their kids real guitars and get them music lessons. A real starter guitar costs about what the game costs, and it is an investment in the future of art.

C’mon, we know you watch Rock of Love
But I totally agree with you on #5.

yeah, that’s not a yankee.
I’m staying out of the rest of it. I find reality tv fascinating.

CAN NOT AGREE ENOUGH ABOUT GUITAR HERO.
I actually preached about GH and playing music and the pretend Christianity lots of us choose compared to really following Jesus – not sure how it was received, but it was fun to listen to Scott Ian totally suck at playing one of his own tunes on a GH controller. I think you can find it on YouTube if you look for it.
Yeah, anyway, I didn’t comment before, but I pretty much agreed with you on the whole reality TV thing. Here’s a set-up for your pastors show: pastor of a rural Norwegian pietist low-church congregation sent to a smells-and-bells, chasuble-wearing, full Eucharistic Prayer praying Episcopal church, and vice versa.

Thank you LP, I couldn’t put it better myself. The last we need is for another stupid has-been performer “searching for love”. And I’d prefer to try and learn the guitar instead of playing a game where I pretend to play guitar. Note to self, if I ever have a son, buy him a guitar.

I love the reality TV show ‘trading pastors’. I would tune in every week ~ but I’m not sure how many others would, besides church and theology geeks.
